Hewlett Packard paramotor expedition
World Champion 2009 Michel Carnet is heading a paramotoring expedition in the
remote Gran Sabana region of Venezuela, with two friends Ben and Tom Clowes.
All three pilots are flying Miniplane 130s and Dudek Synthesis 34s.

They are sponsored by Hewlett Packard, as part of some extreme testing of
computer hardware in harsh environment, in this instance, in the humid hot
conditions of the rain forest.
The Miniplane 130 was chosen for its light weight and compactness, as well
as for its excellent thrust required for the difficult flying conditions
here at altitude and in the heat.
As they fly deeper into the jungle towards the famous Tepuys and Angel
Falls, the equipment has to be carried on foot, by pirogue boats or in
Cessnas, hence the importance of using the lightest of paramotors.
