It is very important to ensure the correct alignment of propellers, especially wooden ones, as they can suffer deformations due to large variations of humidity or temperature.

Small adjustments for the alignment of the propeller can be made by tightening the bolts in an asymmetric way, although making sure not to exceed the torque values indicated in the user's manual.

The spacer allows the propeller to be mounted correctly without having to over-tighten the bolts.
 
A spacer of 0.3 millimetre can result in differences of the "tracking" up to 10mm between the tip of one propeller blade and the other (+5 -5 millimetres), or differences of incidence of approximately 1° (+0,5 -0,5°)
